Board of Directors
 
    A.M.I.’s Board of Directors is comprised of community and business leaders who volunteer their time to help us achieve out goals.  The current board (2009-2010) includes:
  • Neil Berns

Mr. Berns has been involved over 20 years in the high tech industry in Israel in large multi-national corporations (Intel, Applied Materials) as well as in several startups. Neil has held management positions in technology and in marketing.

  • Walter Drimer

Mr. Drimer is a successful entrepreneur and business development expert with extensive experience in building management and technical teams. He is the President and CEO of Genesis International Group, the Chairman of the board of Cardio Ventures and Medtech venture Partners and is the co-founder of Brightsource Energy. He is also the Chairman of the board of Mizmor LeDavid synagogue

  • Mark Feldman

Mr. Feldman made Aliyah in 1981, complete with a B.A from UCLA in Economics and Theatre Arts. Previously worked at the Jewish Federation Council in Los Angeles. Married with two, he started a travel agency which has strived for almost 30 years. Volunteer activities includes local sports leagues, Alyn Hospital, Jewish Federation Council of L.A, Darche Noam Yeshiva and A.M.I His maxim is "I was born with the gift of laughter and the belief that the world was mad"  

  • Rabbi Joseph Schonwald

Rabbi Joe Schonwald served congregations in the U.S for 25 years , since making Aliya 20 years ago , he has directed the Rochlin Foundation which champions Aliya and Klita . As a Aliya activist he has been initiating projects in higher education to advance poor students from development towns as well as new immigrants from the former Soviet Union and Ethiopia . He has long believed in the power of music & Art an important factor in shaping identity so important for Israel as well as American Jewry

  • Marc Tobin

Marc, a lawyer by training, moved to Israel with his family in the summer of 1998 from Boa Raton, Florida and settled in Beit Shemesh, wherehe currently resides. Marc co-founded Back Bay Scientific, LLC and TriviaFix.com and currently serves as General Counsel for Oplon Pure Science, Ltd. Previously Marc has served as Executive VP and General Counsel for Kayote Networks, Inc. and General Counsel of deltathree.com, Inc. Prior to moving to Israel Marc served as Corporate Counsel for Slim Fast Foods Company and Thompson Medical Company, Inc.
